About this Position

  • The MPS and Material Planning specialist is a key role in Henkel Supply Chain Planning. She/He is responsible for leading the formulation, implementation and optimization of the raw material plan and production plan, ensuring that the raw material supply matches the finished product production demand, and coordinating with other departments to ensure the efficient and stable production. 

What you´ll do

  • Planning parameters (10%) - Responsible for the management of master data related to production planning and raw material planning, maintenance and update of information supply strategy, lot size, etc. Review and ensure the accuracy, completeness and consistency of master data, and regularly clean and optimize master data to improve the reliability of production planning and raw material planning.
  • Mass Production Plan (20%) - maintain close communication with the network supply planning (FG), accurately obtain the demand information for raw materials of finished products, and convert it into input parameters for the raw material production plan. Transmit the raw material demand information in the raw material production plan to the raw material procurement department to ensure that the raw material procurement matches the production plan.
  • Material requirement management (20%) – Calculate and formulate the material requirement plan (MRP) based on the master production plan, BOM and inventory information. Accurately determine the required quantity and time of each type of raw material to ensure the match between raw material supply and production demand. Work closely with the R&P procurement department to deliver the raw material requirement plan to the procurement team in a timely manner.
  • Capacity planning (10%) – integrate information, update capacity status to evaluate the production line capacity status. In the process of formulating the master production plan, fully consider capacity constraints, conduct capacity demand forecasts and capacity balance analysis. Ensure that the master production plan is achievable within the existing capacity range to avoid capacity overload or idle waste.
  • Execution monitoring and adjustment (10%)
    Monitor the implementation of the production plan and promptly discover deviations and problems in the production process, such as production schedule delays, equipment failures, raw material delays etc. Adjust the production plan according to the actual situation to ensure the smooth implementation of the production plan and the timeliness of raw material supply.
  • Inventory management (15%) - Set the safety inventory level of raw materials, and dynamically adjust according to demand fluctuations and supply stability to ensure that inventory costs are minimized while meeting customer needs. Monitor the actual level of raw material inventory, conduct regular inventory counts and analysis, and promptly identify and handle inventory anomalies, such as quality issue, expired inventory, etc. Cooperate with the operation team to improve inventory turnover, and ensure that inventory management meets the company's financial and operational goals. Handle OSMI (obsolete and slow-moving inventory), including cause analysis report, application, and tracking of processing progress until the it is resolved.
  • Data and reports (10%) - Collect, organize and analyze data related to raw material production plans, such as production progress data, equipment utilization data, etc. Regularly prepare production plan execution reports and action plan on the implementation of production plans, existing issues and solutions to support the improvement of SA, high order fulfillment and production efficiency.
  • Support NPI (all level) (5% )- Collaborate with PD, PE, PLM and related team to ensure the manufacturability of new products and the feasibility of plans. Develop production plans and raw material supply plans for the new product introduction (NPI) phase, coordinate with relevant departments to ensure that new products smoothly transition from the NPI phase to the mass production phase.

  • Problem solving and data analysis : Strong data analysis, use data and facts to identify problem, then be able to find out root cause and resolve problem.
  • Communication and influencing, be able to work with cross functions and drive changes in virtual teams (no direct reporting line teams ).
