Your expertise will guide the business through both day-to-day legal matters and high-level strategic initiatives – including the adoption of new digital technologies such as A.I.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (such as external counsels), acting as a trusted advisor in areas such as commercial contracts, distribution law, corporate housekeeping, real estate, antitrust compliance, …
What you´ll do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements in a B2B and B2C environment, across Benelux and France;
- Manage corporate housekeeping matters in Benelux, consulting with external legal advisors;
- Provide legal support on real estate issues, including lease, purchase and facility agreements;
- Contribute to dispute resolution and assist with risk mitigation strategies;
- Embrace legal innovation efforts, including AI-driven legal tools and digital legal platforms;
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments like HR, Finance, IT, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Corporate Communications, … and work together with external counsels if necessary;
- Be a strategic partner to the business, offering initiative-taking and practical legal guidance.
What makes you a good fit
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in corporate law, commercial contracts, and real estate – ideally in a cross-border or international context;
- Languages: Fluent in English, with strong proficiency in French and Dutch;
- Skills: Deep understanding of corporate governance and contract law, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into actionable and pragmatic business advice;
- Mindset: Tech-savvy, curious, innovative and solution-oriented. You’re not just a lawyer, you are also a partner to the business and you are able to align legal advice with operational goals. You are stress resilient and not afraid of taking the extra mile;
- Background: Experience in both in-house roles and (international) law firms is a plus;
